THE most anticipated movie of all times is finally here. The movie gods showed mercy and bestowed upon us a feast for our senses, like water on parched lips. Like moth to flame, we sacrifice ourselves at the brilliance of it all. It would have been sacrilege to release this movie on OTT as systems such as IMAX were built because one day, movies such as KGF would be made. And I thank the makers for waiting it out and unleashing it in the theatres  🙏 . It is no small feat to hold out in an unpredictable world and I applaud the guts here.  Teaser .  Trailer . Like how you hesitate approaching the sunshine of your life in college, I didn't even watch the trailer till a few hours prior to experiencing the movie. True story. So sacred is the image in my brain. This movie is written and directed by  Prashanth Neel , cinematography is by  Bhuvan Gowda , art direction is by Shivakumar and music is by  Ravi Barsur . KGF2 The narration style is similar to that of Ch...

Evaru Telugu movie review: Whodunnit?

This one was suggested home minister (which bumped it to a mandatory viewing) and also by Firangi, so it would be interesting, without doubt. If you're interested in boxing things up, I'd say the keywords here are murder mystery and thriller. The suave sub - inspector Vikram Vasudev ( Adivi Shesh ) is called to investigate/ help Sam ( Regina Cassandra ) who is accused of killing her alleged rapist (who a high - ranking police officer), so there is a lot of media attention and powerful people involved, so navigating the investigation is a tricky thing. Sam takes charge and avails Vikram's services for a "fee".  A major portion of the movie is shot in an aesthetically - pleasing hotel room (bonus points for interior decoration) and is a conversation between the main characters in this movie. From here we're taken to flashbacks at 2 times, one during the murder and one a year before. Two story threads are interwoven here, and we're taken through different ver...

Forgotten (Korean: 기억의 밤; RR: Gieokui Bam): The unforgettable South Korean movie!

This movie viewing was serendipitous and extremely exciting, thanks to the keen eye of  the Swede. I'll never forget my awe on watching this movie, projected on a white wall by his phone!! As you might tell from the movie name, you can expect something to do with memory. I would say this is a psychological thriller. In the first few scenes we see a happy family of 4. Mother, father and 2 sons. But something doesn't seem right.. like recalling a dream, you know it, but cannot put a finger on it. As we progress, there are more things to ponder about. The movie leads you to it's warm, twisty embrace... There are so many twists and turns, that it's a guessing game with yourself. What is going on? Who is being truthful? Who is lying? Is anyone staring at the frayed ends of sanity? Where is the dream and where does reality begin? Source . The mood in the first half is always tense. Strange sounds, unexplained behaviour, questioning whom to trust, there is a lot going on. At n...
